Agarose stamps (3% w/v in GVM) with different embossed patterns were used to pattern V. fischeri to GVM-agar plates; the contact time between the stamp and the surface of the plates was 5 s. After the plates were incubated for 60 h at 25 C, no additional colony growth was visible and the plates were imaged. (A) "Bacterial printing press". (B) Alternating small and large circles.
